Free hearing aids (as in-kind support, not cash assistance) are provided to financially disadvantaged individuals with hearing loss, enabling them to hear and communicate better.

⚠️  Points to Note:

• To avoid duplication of resources, ** CSSA recipients, hearing impaired students, and people with occupational deafness ** must first apply for hearing aids through the relevant government departments or statutory bodies (e.g. Social Welfare Department, Education Bureau or Occupational Deafness Compensation Board).  If assistance from the above channels is declined, or there are other special circumstances, applications to our charity will be considered.

• The financial eligibility criteria for this programme are separate from the Old Age Living Allowance (OALA). Recipients of OALA are still required to satisfy the specific income and asset limits of this programme (please refer to Page 1 of the Application Guide) to qualify for free hearing aids.

Free hearing health seminars, hearing screenings and other care services are extended to the senior population through outreach visits to local elderly and community centres.

• If the applicant is unable to fulfil the minimum enrolment criteria due to space limitations at the service location or other valid reasons, please contact us to see if discretion can be granted.

• The application form is for outreach services conducted at local community or elderly centres, and does not apply to home visits.  If you wish to request home visits, please contact us directly.
